Report Tex (House Gecko or Cicak)

   House Gecko

House Gecko or known as "Cicak" is a reptile originating from Southeast Asia, and in the world some people might know it as Pacific House Gecko, Gecko Asian House, Lizard House or Moon Lizard. The term "House Gecko" is given to them because they are often seen sticking to the walls or ceiling of houses or other buildings. It is believed that they spread throughout the world via ships. They can live up to five years and reach sizes 75 to 150 mm when they are adults.

House Gecko has similarity to Gecko or "tokek",the difference is that Gecko "tokek" slightly bigger than House Gecko, and also they had different color. House Gecko has a flat body. They have four legs and one long tail. When they are in danger they can release the tail as a trickster that will distract the enemy. Their eyes are on both sides of the head. Their gray-colored skin is very thin, even almost transparent so we can see what's under it. Their feet are filled with very fine hair measuring 200 nanometers that allows them to climb walls. Their body texture is very rubbery, similar to rubber.
