Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
is the fifth installment in the Pirates of The Caribbean Franchise.
This sequel was a
continuation of the At World's End series which ended with the meeting of
William Turner with his wife and child, Henry Turner. As shown in the previous
trailers, Henry finally grew up and became a sailor.Unfortunately, the ship he
was riding in entered a dangerous waters called the Devil Triangle. There,
Armando Salazar and his men carry out a surprise attack and finish off all the
soldiers easily. Then Salazar descended the stairs and found Jack Sparrow's
wanted fliers. After learning that Henry knew Jack, Salazar left a message and
just left. After escaping death, Henry traveled to trace the whereabouts of
Jack Sparrow and Trisula Poseidon, the only hope of defeating Salazar.
You could say,
this time the series again used the old formula, the actions of the pirates not
only amaze you,but also will make you laughter. There're many silly events from
the beginning of the story, its successed make the audience burst out laughing.
The Dead Men Tell
No Tales comedy score also increased when the old extras returned, among them
the most iconic was Jack (the Monkey), Marty(the dwarf ), two Mulroy-Murtogg
soldiers and last but not least, Scrum (Blackbeard's former crew). The typical
pirate chatter which sometimes means vulgar but in safe numbers often adorns
the dialogues between them.
And as usual, the
PoTC series uses a stunt scene that uses Jack Sparrow's lucky base as an armor
plot. Although there are many scenes that feel completely coincidental, this
does not affect the film's hilarity and even retains the characteristics of
PoTC.
Although the
level of violence of the film is still in a safe level, the author cautioned
that there were scenes involving mutilated members of the human body even if it
only lasted a few seconds.
This series doesn't offer many new things. The number of different storyline and character patterns with the old series makes the Dead Men Tell No Tales story unable to give a meaningful plot twist. The factor of too many trailers also gave spoilers which canceled the audience's pleasure in taking the film's storyline.

Change of the story line focus
was too quick to make its own plot seemed to be destroyed. Character change
factors and number of unnecesary scenes also doesn't help to improve the
quality of storyline. And of course it has an impact on the execution of the
climax that seems less dramatic.

And the last thing is about the lack of deepening of relationships
between characters, especially fathers and children like Will and Henry. There
are a number of things that do feel awkward because there are not many explanations
that are implied also expressed about the reason each character acts, including
why Barbossa turn out to be a person who is far from our imagination.
